A happy blog

Yes, at last a happy blog. I have been very busy spending all day at the hospital.I am very happy to report that just 2 days after the operation my father is doing great. He was out of intensive care this morning.He is still a little bit dissoriented (is that a word ?) but he is able to walk a little and spend the day sitting. He ate alone rice and beans and meat. He spoke a little on the phone with his brother in Atlanta.It wasnt easy the day of the operation because they took him down at 11:30 and it wasnt until 7:00 that the doctor came to tell us that everything went well. Just and hour later we were able to see him for the first time. The next day he trew us out.Yes he told us to go away twice. JA! The dissorientation thing is very funny, he keeps blaming the governor for everything.And he wants to leave the hospital and he is very strong and stubborn.Its not going to be easy we know, but we dont care.He is ok and thats everything that matters. We are just happy.

I have many things to give thanks this Thanksgiving.Even on the most difficult year of my life I have been blessed.Thank you God for our health, for seeing my children happy, for the blessing of seeing my daughter graduate from high school, for the gift of a perfect trip, two weeks of complete hapiness.Thank you God because even on the darkest hour of this family we clearly saw your hand. You were there holding us and we felt it.Thank you for restoring my fathers health.Thank you for being there with us today.Thank you for the hope of better days.
Thank you God for the support of my new friends. It meant a lot. We are still standing and is all because of you.

Carnival Freedom first time in PR

That should have been the warning on todays Carnival Caper. This time it was Todd fault or it was yours, John? Why didnt you tell me it was going to rain? I want the $1.75 that I pay for the parking back.LOL. OMG it rain and rain and rain. First let me tell you that the ship arrived at 3:00. I wasnt there, I arrive at 4:30. Thank God I took pictures as soon as I got there because at 5:30 it was raining cats and dogs and it didnt stop.I feel bad for all those guest arriving at the pier like wet chickens, all drench. I was there taking cover also at the pier and I saw all those people arriving totally drenched.OPPPPSSSSS! John, glad you are safe and sound at home with your wife because you wouldnt have like this. First day of the Carnival Freedom in San Juan was a disaster. I think I saw Linda ( dressed in purple right ?) but I wasnt completely sure so I was afraid to call her and she didnt looked my way. I was sitting on a bench in front of the ship right before it started to rain. I had to leave early because it continue to rain, so I didnt see much. I wanted to stay we were so excited and happy to see our ship.My all time favorite ship. I have been in many but none compare to the Freedom why? All the conditions were right, ports of Calls , friends, companions, time, ship, cruise director,waiters,food,everything.It was perfect. We didnt wanted to leave. Today our “home” came home. A wet home, LOL, John’s fault. Love you JOHN!!!!

Susanna’s birthday and trying hard

Saturday was my niece 15th birthday she is one of the girls that went with us to our trip to Europe she is only 9 months older than my son Cristian.Her sister and cousin prepare for her a slide show were many of the pictures were from our trip.In some of them we actually applaud when we saw them special moments, happy moments that we literally took by force. We feel that we stole them from this year.We won, we did it even if we shouldnt have have.This night we all try very hard to be happy and continue to be what we were but there is always this big hole, someone is missing.The same thing happened yesterday when we went like all Sundays ot my mother is law’s house. She lives in a house at the top of my sister’s in law house.My sister’s in law husband made a barbecue at his house, and you see the difference when you go inside the house. You see that it needs a woman touch,everything is out of place.It makes me sad seeing the boys and their father doing the things that she used to do.And their father is not ok.His condition has worsen and it is a big burden to the boys,specially to the oldest . He says tht he feels like an orphan without mother or father. My little sister arrived from Texas to be here for my father’s operation I havent seen her yet. They are coming tomorrow for pre admission.My brothers and their families arrive on Wednesday and Thursday.This are not the best circumstances but at least I get to see them.Today at school welllll I was called to my supervisor first thing in the morning. A mother came to complain about me,things I dont understand butttttttttttttttttttttt It made my day.really Im the kind of person that one complain does it for me. I have 35 kids, Im doing everything in my hands to make everybody happy, doing everyting I can to cover my back so I dont have anyone complaining,because I know how it affects me. Its the first time this year and the mother of the girl works with me. I cant call her to defend me because my supervisor told me not to tell her that she told me. Im tired(Italy is calling me, do you hear? LOL), really Im doing the best I can.This week is puertorrican week. On Thursday the teachers have to dress like jibaras(national costume).Im going to take pictures so you can see me and my kids.I worked today even if it is a holiday becuse they are giving us the next week free. Its good because im only going to be absent on Friday for the operation and next week im going to be free to be at the hospital with my family.

The other cruise director…of the other Freedom

I think permanent damage have been done and now my standards of what a cruise director should be are soooooo high that I dont think Im going to enjoy another cruise director that is not John. At least thats the way i felt on my last cruise on the *&%$ of the Seas. I keep watching the poor man like he was from Mars.But there is another british cruise director that they say is John’s competition(nemesis?) on the other side also on a ship called Freedom .I havent been on a cruise with him but Viviana’s has(She went with her aunt (The one that works with RCCL) and I dont know if any of you remember that at the beginning of John’s blog he asked about other cruise director that we enjoyed. I told him that Viviana loves the Cruise director Richard Spacey(Yes people, the tall dark and handsome one on the picture with Vivi)
This was John’s answer to that:
I know your daughter is in love with RCI’s Richard Spacey but hopefully she will find a tiny place in her heart for me

And yes true to his promise John did his best he made Viviana laugh hysterically, talked to her on the phone(woke her up when she was taking a bath LOL, Remember John?)gave her a picture of the ship signed and a medal for her graduation.He gave her hugs and he was incredibly sweet with her and even put her favorite movie Phantom of the Opera on the Big Screen. Spoiled??? nahhhhh! To make the story short (yeah sure ) he won her up and one day I open the door to my cabin and she said “Mom you were right John is the best Cd ever!” Another convert LOL. Sooooo what does Richard Spacey does that Viviana like soo much other than being so handsome? He does a great Austin Power and he does a Hokkie Pookey putting in front other parts of the body other than hands and feet.They say he is very funny. Im curious.huuuumm If you would like to see some of Richard go to you tube and serach Richard Spacey, there is an evolution of dance video of him and a Borat at the pool that maybe you dont want to see. The Borat thingy that is one thingy that John cant do maybe if he does the thong thing on the bloggers who knows? LOL Maybe not … Richard we leave that to you.You win.Anyway John doesnt need to get almost naked to have a captive audience So he wins. LOL

The Freedom the best thing that happened to us this year.

At last I have some free time to do nothing thanks to my mom who iron all this week clothes so I decided to spend some time with my mother in law and my nephews first let me tell you that they are doing ok despite all.We went to the bank , supermarket and we had lunch together.At one time I was at one of the bedrooms were my mother in law has a picture of my son and daughter and my nieces just before we took the airplane to our wonderful trip.They look so happy! We were talking that maybe it was the craziest thing that we did because we shouldnt have gone. We are going through the most difficult time economically speaking since we got married. Last year we sold the family business and now we have a new smaller business we are just starting and the economy in PR its not at its best.My husband have always worked in this and is his life. He has never done anything else and me oh well everybody knows the teachers are the worst payed and in PR is even worst.So we took a change, we have and inheritance coming but its a building that we have to sell, when we went on the ship it was almost sold but didnt go through. We really didnt have the money to do it.But we have no regrets because they were the happiest two weeks of the whole year.When the year started we all had very high hopes and we thought that this was going to be our year. We never imagine it will be our worst ever.Thank God we went on the Freedom it was a dream the best thing that happened to us this year At last it seems the building is going to sell there are 2 buyers really interested but know we have to change everything(papers) again because the death of my sister in law.Anyway with this money we are going to be paying most of our debts so maybe we will be able to go to the Mexican Riviera next year never done that Im looking at the Norwegian Star 8 days cruise. Why Norwegian? Its cheaper that others and have more ports. It sails from LA and it is going to Acapulco(overnight), Zihuatanejo(Ixtapa), Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.We will also stay in LA to go to Disneyland and California Adventure.It is also Cristian dream to go to LA because he wants to study in California to be film director. That would be in March.I have pictures to show you one is similar to the one that my mother in law has in her bedroom of the kids and the other is on the ship.The one on the ship was one night that my niece came late to the dining room and our waiter Tina sat on her chair and when she show up Tina took the menu and started to order. Tina was very special with the kids. AHHHH Carnival…
What I am trying to say with all this??
If you have the opportunity grab it!!! Dont think much about it.If we havent had the courage to do it we wouldnt have live that precious experience. My sister in law wanted to go , she decided that she will wait for the money.She didnt make it.The moment is now!! You dont know anything about the future.
