And Its free!!

Did something different tonight and it was free!! We have been trying to change our Saturday night routine of going to the mall or just have something to eat.So this Saturday we went to the Condado tourist area to a park called Ventana al mar (window to the sea).Its called like that because its the only free space were the sea can be seen in the mid of condos, restaurants and hotels.Its beautiful and on Saturday nights there is the Lelolai Festival.Its a Folkloric show with traditional music and dance. It was very good at a beautiful setting. We enjoy it very much. I wish some of you could come so I could tak you see it.Im having trouble posting because i used all my space so Im deleting some old post and pictures I dont like to do it but I want to continue writing.Tomorrow Ill be going to the west coast of the island to Boqueron beach in Cabo Rojo to celebrate the New Year with my family. Im going to be there until Tuesday so Im not going to be able to use the computer because it is very slow at my parents house so to all my friends Happy New Year!!!!! I hope that this year brings health, love and money and everything you wish for.

Yes I am, just seeing my dad again for the first time since he left my home after the operation.Oh my God he looks great! Better than ever. I felt so happy! That alone made my night from the begining.I just had to take pictures of him that I inmediately posted on my facebook for my brothers to see. They were the first to arrive with my grandmother and the food, turkey, arroz con gandules, ham,potato salad, pasteles.My sisters arrive late because they were both working. So we ate much (as always) and we were done the people from the other house(my brother in law) came to give us a parranda. They were a bunch of people with a lot of musical instruments and they were loud.They started to sing outside on the street and continue inside the house.It was fun. I f we have something good is that we all tried to put a good face even on bad times And I can tell you we tried and I think we suceed.My 3 nephews had they first Christmas alone.Their father also left them to go to a friend house in Florida.His condition of Bipolar disorder has worsen a lot and the boys are also going through that.They are sticking with their grandmother, she is what they have left.As thwy were leaving the house after the parranda the oldest told me that they were doing all to not cry and they have suceed because their grandmother didnt cry last night, She was strong for them and them for her.Anyway we had a good time.After that we decided to wait for my sister coming from Dallas at 12:30 am.She finally arrived to my home at 2:00am.We stayed talking and trying to accomdate all the gifts someplaces because with all that people staying at my home there was no place even on the Living room were my grandmother, sister and brother in law stayed. My mother , father, nephew and my other sister stayed on the family room.My niece with Vivi, My house resemble a camp site and in the middle there were the presents surrounded with beds. . It was fun in the morning all together like when were kids.The only one that was not happy was the youngest.Ohh he was cranky and he ddint touch the presents at first, He wanted them in his house. What a blessing!!

Parranda!! Thats what we gave to the girls at the house for addicts that we went today the girls of the elementary school.Today was the last day that I had to go work before Christmas, now Im free until January 8 WEPAA!! Our day started at 9:00 am with a mass at the school chappel then we were off in school busses to the different institutions. Ours as I have said before is at old San Juan actually in front of La Perla not inside.Between El Morro and San Cristobal forts.Beautiful old house in front of the sea. At that house they have 18 girls all with an addiction of some kind. We brought them food (arroz con pollo) that we serve to them and bags filled with toothpaste, soap, shampoo, basic things.We enter the place singing all our most famous Christmas songs and they love it. They join us in our songs and we dance.They seem very happy to have us there.We serve them lunch and spend some time talking to them. It was a great experience.

Have any of you seen this movie? I love it!! I dont know how many times I had seen it and today I was seeing it again. A friend of mine saw it last week and ask me why did I like it so much. There are many reasons one is that I like Robert Downey I think he is a great actor and also I find him very attractive. Thats one reason but the most important one is that was the movie that made me dream of Italy and made me want soooooooo much to go and see with my own eyes that beautiful scenery. The movie takes place first in Venice, then Rome and Positano.In Venice they travel through the Grand Canal and go to famous Hotel Danieli

The first time I went to Venice one of the first things I did was look for the hotel and go inside to see that Grand lobby and remember all I have seen on the movie.In the movie Marissa Tomey when she was seeing Venice for the first time said this words;
“La Serenissima, where people come looking for something they cant find anyplace else”
And Its true , Venice is like no place on earth, is magic.
When they are in Rome they go wandering the streets at night, thing that I love to do. In Rome in every corner there is a surprise. They also went to La Boca de Verita . I wasnt able to see this on my first time in Rome because we didnt have much time, but this time I went, It is difficult to find but worth it , my kids enjoy it very much.

When they are in Rome they decided to go to Positano, its funny because in the movie they say that Giovanni was going to drive them there, just like me the 2 times that I been to Positano a Giovanni drove me also. This is my favorite part of the movie when they are on their way to Positano and I see the Coast that I love. I remember how much I love this place and how much I would love to be there, it always brings tears to my eyes (the music doesnt help either ) And one of them say ” Anything can happen here ” and I believe that its sooooooooo beautiful and romantic!! They get to Positano and go to the beautiful and expensive Hotel la Sirenuse.What a view from the balcony!! First time I was there I had told Giovanni about the movie and that I wanted to see the restaurant and the hotel and he pointed me to them when we got to the hotel he ask me if I wanted to stop and go inside, I was with a large group in 2 vans and I knew that my friend on the other van was tired so I said no. I regret it for the 2 years that took me to get back. So this year was one of the first things I did when we got to Positano. I walk into the hotel and saw the view from there.
There is one thing that I saw in the movie that I havent been able to do and that is see a sunset in Positano that is one of my dreams.I feel different when Im there is a sense of belonging. I even look better and its because i feel so happy and fulfilled. I want to stay a couple of days on the Coast not just a few hours. It was a blessing to see all this places and some day Im going to go back and stay to see the sunset and the sunrise in such incredible place.

A sight to remember ? and other things

Sometimes I don know what to write, but sometimes I get a cue like today reading John’s blog. I remember the last time I saw the Aida. It was our first time on the Med and we were on board the Grand Princess. That day we were in Corfu, beautiful place that I would love to see again as we didnt have much time to explore the town. We went on a tour that drop us on the town but with very little town to explore anyway at the end of the day when we were ready to sail I went up to the Lido deck to find my husband who was already out.When I walk out I saw that everyone was on the rail looking out port side even the bartenders were there. Curious I went to see what was happening, Why was everyone looking at the Aida? There were many people taking a sunbath completely naked! Our ship much bigger than Aida was perfect to take a look at all their Lido deck. What a sight! To those people it didnt matter aat all that all those people were looking at them, they remain doing their business as if nothing was happening, walking around and everything. What a show LOl and it got worse when some passengers pf our ship were late and the Captain was making announcement on the progress of the situation and more people gather to see if those passenger finally arrived or not. Even the people on the Aida were gathering (yes naked) to look.What a sight! Although it wasnt a pretty sight not Mc Dreamy’s there. LOL We have video. Another time we had a close encounter with the Aida we were in Aruba on board the Norwegian Dream( the one that had the accident this week) and we had an obstructed view one night we were changing for dinner when we opened the curtains and we saw the Aida moving veryyyyyyy close to our ship we could see each others cabins up close and personal.YIKES!. When I have time im going to write a little about all my ships at least an anecdote of each one and a picture. I have already written about my first one the Carla C, my kids first The Inspiration, our Freedom and a little about AOS with my nephews. Is something I want to do because all of them have something special.Ahh I want to talk about cabins we been from a closet literally on the Carla Costa and Costa Riviera up to the balcony on Costas Atlantica and Magica.We have to talk a little about the good and bad of all cruise lines.I hope you dont get bored its my passion and I could talk for hours.
This week I finished with the kids at school but I have to work until the 20. Next week we have our Christmas party and charity work among other things. I began my Christmas shopping this week a little late but…….
